Making Tax Digital is how HMRC now expects you to file
Making Tax Digital (MTD) means keeping digital records and filing through recognised software, rather than manually.
For VAT, it’s already here. Since April 2022, every VAT-registered business must keep digital records and submit VAT returns using MTD-recognised software — whatever the turnover. If you file VAT, MTD applies to you today.
Helping you and your business with MTD
Tax Manager from Infoplex lets TASBooks users submit their tax returns directly using our HMRC-recognised solution.
It’s been developed to simplify the MTD compliance process for everybody – from bookkeepers and small businesses to accountants and large enterprises.
Frequently asked questions
How does Tax Manager work?
All of the data that you need to send to HMRC for MTD already exists. It’s in your TASBooks database. The problem is accessing that information and using it. That’s where Tax Manager can help.
Tax Manager extracts the data from TASBooks that you need to send to HMRC. Most clients will submit a return directly from the software. For some, it creates a simple spreadsheet that contains this data. All that you have to do is upload the spreadsheet to our HMRC-recognised bridging solution and press ‘Submit’.
Our HMRC-recognised solution is simple to use and features a collection of rules that will help you to validate your data before you submit your tax return.
How much does it cost?
For a single company (company count increases available):
- Software Licence, one-off cost — £199.00
- Essential Maintenance & Support, annual cost — £99.00
- Total — £298.00 + VAT
